There is absolutely no justification for the removal of baobab trees from Kilifi County especially when the president is appealing for the planting of trees! It is hypocrisy and downright stupidity of the highest order! I'm sorry, but there is no polite way of putting the authorisations issued by governmental institutions for the removal of centuries old baobab trees that provide livelihoods and nutrition to hundreds of people. Institutions that are supposed to be protecting our trees and natural resources nonetheless! It brings into question whether those in these positions have the core competencies or mental capacity to carry out their jobs!
