Kathleen Wynne, at the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, questions accusations of Doug Ford ‘backroom deal’ to reward controversial evangelist Charles McVety the right to issue degrees, as well as "how and why" publicly funded Toronto Catholic District School Board exonerated trustee Mike Del Grande, after both have had repeated complaints about their vile and bigoted language.

The Ontario Minister of Education, Stephen Lecce, stated that Del Grande's comments were "unacceptable and deeply disturbing" and "looks forward to accountability for those students that were offended by the comments made." Wynne then urges Lecce to request the TCDSB release the independent investigative report that looked into complaints of Del Grande's conduct.

This report was completed and reviewed in early June, voted on to keep private on August 13th, and Del Grande was exonerated by his peers on August 20, 2020.

It's also worth noting that neither Wynne nor Lecce mentioned Gender Identity, Transphobia, or the Ontario Human Rights Code that all public services are required to abide by regardless of personal beliefs.
