Stopping the continued exploitation and overdevelopment of areas throughout the pae ʻāina means striving to create a Hawaiʻi free from the influence of those who have a demonstrated record of supporting it. Dawn Chang, Governor Josh Greenʻs nominee for chair of the Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) is exactly the type of pro-development consultant who will try to silence the voice of the people and find ways to push forward with inappropriate development projects, like the Kona Estates at ʻOpihihale.
Please consider reading, signing, and sharing the petition linked below. Ask Governor Green to withdraw his nomination of Dawn Chang and choose a candidate who not only demonstrates respect for the law but an awareness that Hawaiʻiʻs sensitive cultural and natural resources must be protected in perpetuity. Make your voice heard and insist that Governor Green appoint a candidate with a documented track record of demonstrating the utmost morality and integrity.
Mahalo in advance and mālama pono!
