Another weekend update for the Community Spaces petition
I'm continuing to campaign for better recognition and protection of accessible, inclusive community spaces.
These places aren't simply somewhere to fill a few hours.
For many people they can provide:
⭐ friendship and connection
⭐ routine and familiarity
⭐ accessible activities
⭐ opportunities to develop confidence
⭐ somewhere to belong without having to fit a particular mould
⭐ an important connection with the wider community
For neurodivergent and disabled people in particular, finding somewhere that is genuinely accessible and welcoming isn't always straightforward.
That's why I want this conversation to continue.
