Today was a reminder that community spaces matter because life doesn't always go according to plan.

Many of us rely on local hubs, cafés, groups, clubs and meeting places for friendship, support, routine and connection. They provide somewhere to belong when the world feels busy, confusing or overwhelming.

Since launching this campaign, I've been encouraged by the number of people who understand the value of these spaces and the difference they make in everyday lives.

Thank you to everyone who has signed, shared and supported the petition so far. Every signature helps keep this conversation alive and reminds decision-makers that community spaces are not a luxury – they are an important part of many people's lives.
