I recently saw a discussion in Parliament about support systems like Access to Work.
It highlighted something important to me.
For something that affects so many people, it doesn’t always get the attention it deserves.
When systems don’t work well, people don’t just miss out on employment—they can also lose access to structure, confidence, and community.
For those of us with invisible differences, this can be even harder. Much of the effort involved in daily life—planning, timing, managing energy—goes unseen.
Invisible doesn’t mean easy.
This is one of the reasons I started this petition.
It’s not just about one community space—it’s about recognising how easily people can be excluded when systems and environments don’t take different needs into account.
What would help isn’t drastic change, but small, meaningful improvements:
- clearer communication
- more flexibility
- better understanding of invisible
challenges
This petition is asking for more inclusive, accessible community spaces that recognise different needs—especially the ones that aren’t always visible.
These changes can make opportunities more accessible for everyone.
If you believe in making spaces and support systems more inclusive, please continue to support and share this petition.
Every signature helps raise awareness and push for change.
