A reminder of why community spaces matter

This petition began with the closure of a community space that meant a great deal to many people — not just practically, but emotionally and socially too.

Since then, it’s become clear this isn’t an isolated story. Across the country, inclusive community spaces are disappearing quietly, often without meaningful alternatives.

This petition continues to stand for the value of connection, accessibility, and belonging — especially for people who rely on safe, understanding environments to participate in everyday life.
