As this year comes to a close, I wanted to say thank you to everyone who has supported this petition. What started as a response to one closure has grown into a wider conversation about why community spaces matter — especially for people who rely on them for connection, routine, and belonging.

As we step into a new year, my hope is simple:

that decision-makers continue to listen, and that communities are given the chance to protect the spaces that quietly support so many lives.
