Christmas has been a quieter one this year, but it’s given me a moment to pause and reflect on how far this petition has travelled — quite literally.
Knowing that this campaign reached Parliament has been incredibly meaningful. It’s still strange (in a good way) to think that something which started locally made its way to a national stage, simply because people cared enough to sign, share, and support.
Christmas itself was spent with family, good food, games, and some much-needed rest. It’s been a time to recharge — not stop — and to remind myself why this matters: community, connection, and spaces where people feel they belong.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support this campaign. Progress doesn’t always shout — sometimes it quietly keeps going, even over Christmas.
