### Shikharji Case Hearing Update - 19th September 2024
The Supreme Court hearing on the Shikharji matter took place on 19th September 2024. Due to time constraints and the upcoming retirement of one of the presiding justices, Justice C.T. Ravikumar, the current bench was unable to complete the hearing of all parties involved.
Despite hearing extensive arguments from the appellants, several senior counsels representing the appellants have yet to present their arguments. Additionally, the respondents, including the State, have stated they will require at least 3.5 more days to complete their submissions.
Given these circumstances and the complexity of the issues, the bench decided to release the case. The matter will now be assigned to another bench, and the Chief Justice of India will make the appropriate arrangements for further hearings. We will keep you updated on any new developments and the next hearing schedule as soon as it is announced. The Order is attached.
