Someone just shared with me this link to a study published on OncoZine:

https://www.oncozine.com/image-guided-superficial-radiotherapy-highly-effective-in-treating-skin-cancers-without-surgery/

In part, here's what the article says:

"Treatment with Image-Guided Superficial Radiotherapy (Image-Guided SRT), one of the most advanced non-surgical technology for the treatment of keratinocytic carcinoma (KC) of the skin, as a subgroup of non-melanoma skin cancer (NMSC) which includes common skin cancers such as basal cell carcinoma (BCC) and invasive squamous cell carcinoma (SCC), yields a 99.3% cure rate in treating basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma."

Why would radiation oncologists be opposed to treating skin cancer in a dermatologist's office, especially when it cures skin cancer at least as well, if not better, than they can in their hospitals?

If you believe, as I do, that this is just wrong, and that people deserve options, share with everyone you know the link to my petition and encourage then to sign. We need to let the radiation oncologists and their association know that what they are doing is wrong and that we're watching to see how they respond. Here's the link to share:
