Thanks to all of you, this petition has now passed 1,200 supporters – and it’s still growing. Every signature, every share, every comment is proof that people are paying attention and refuse to accept what’s happening in our shelters as “normal.”

Because this is gaining real traction, I’m now working on a plan to speak in front of LA City Council and bring your voices – and these signatures – directly to the people in power.

1. Keep sharing the petition

Post it again to your social media, neighborhood groups, and group chats. A lot of people sign the second or third time they see something.

2. Ask friends and family to sign

A simple, “Hey, this really matters to me – will you sign and share?” goes a long way.

3. If you’re in LA City or LA County, mention that when you share

Decision-makers need to see this isn’t just abstract – it’s their own residents speaking up.

I’m so grateful for the support so far, and I promise I’ll keep you updated as the City Council plan comes together. We can change this, but only if we keep showing up and making noise.
