Stop Abuse Campaign
Mar 24, 2018
We have hours left to influence New York’s elected officials. Monday is our last clear shot at convincing our leaders to protect children, not predators. We have never been closer than we are now, but Senator Flanagan, the speaker of the senate, still digs his heels in.
The only way we can fix that is by convincing him that we care about protecting children now, that we will care about it for the rest of the legislative session and we will care about it in November. Here’s what you can do:
1) Share this petition far and wide through email and social media
2) On MONDAY, contact Senator Flanagan (flanagan@nysenate.gov or 518-455-2071) and say or send the following “Senator Flanagan, most New Yorkers want to see New York protect children, not the people who sexually abuse them. We know that 84% of New Yorkers support the Child Victims Act. We think it is wrong that you are using children as a bargaining tool in the Senate’s budget, and we insist that you put the Governor’s version of the Child Victims Act into the final Senate budget.
3) Sign this petition (https://www.change.org/p/new-york-state-legislature-deliver-justice-for-new-york-s-abuse-survivors). Every signature on every petition counts, and legislators count them all.
Thank you for caring about children.
