Just this week in New York a dangerous teacher, who tried to record two little girls changing, was sentenced to six months in jail. What he did was horrible, but he got caught. We can’t know how many sex offenders are in that school, and in schools across New York, since most of their victims can’t press charges. This sounds logical, but the opponents to this legislation are fierce. Some powerful senators have proven time and again that they will not support this bill no matter what. So we are urging Governor Cuomo to use his political might and bypass the committee process this year. But this will only happen if we make Governor Cuomo realize that a lot of people care about this bill. So we need a lot more signatures on this petition.
