2025 Update: New “parental rights” laws are putting abused children at even greater risk.

I was raised in an isolated religious home—homeschooled, denied medical care, and abused daily. No teachers. No CPS. No way out. Two decades later, thousands of kids are still trapped in similar environments where “parental rights” shield abusers.

This year, TN and TX have dangerous parental rights amendments on the November ballot. Utah just removed disclosure requirements for convicted child sexual abusers who homeschool. Tennessee, Alabama, and Wyoming are redirecting public funds to unregulated private and religious schools.

Why is this still acceptable? Kids deserve to be safe, seen, and heard.
