Good Afternoon,
As the UK Summer ☀️ enters extra-time, "coz" El-Niño, I wanted to thank each one of you for shining a blinding light on the scandal of Property Developers being permitted to shirk their responsibility for fixing building construction defects, knowingly allowing huge remediation costs to fall to innocent Homeowners, causing emotional and financial devastation
The time for change is now ⏰️, if not sooner There will be a Parliamentary Debate on Lord Lytton's Amendment - which would fix the deeply flawed Building Safety Act (more details on https://buildingsafetyscheme.org/) - on Wednesday 13th September.
I've attached a letter from the Earl of Lytton himself, in which he expresses his gratitude for the overwhelming support that you have each contributed to and passionately explains why the law must change. He concludes with a plea for each of you to share this petition with 5 friends/family/colleagues (https://chng.it/KXtVJGZQWB) - we are approaching a critical mass of support that simply can't be ignored!
It would also be amazing if you could communicate your support for this cause to your MP, (https://members.parliament.uk/members/commons) as they are ultimately the ones who will decide whether to prioritise Rich Property Developers or Innocent Homeowners, a modern day David vs Goliath.
Forever grateful for your support,
Jake
