*Local plan update*

This afternoon, the Inspector released the following document and statement: https://www.localplanservices.co.uk/_files/ugd/017f5b_b5771497df8048f1a10f8a7a8957eaa8.pdf

“Overall, we consider that, subject to main modifications, the Plan is likely to be capable of being found legally compliant and sound.”

This is a huge blow and absolutely heartbreaking for everyone affected by the sites in the Plan and for everyone who has worked tirelessly to protect them.

There may be further opportunity for consultation in March 2026, and it is vital that everyone makes their voice heard, if we get that chance. Public support really does matter.

We will continue to fight to protect the Green Belt. We will share details of the consultation on SS19 if we get the opportunity and we will also be hosting events and fundraisers to help spread the word.
