Despite strong opposition, SB 632 - "Taking of Bears" HB 87 - "Taking of Bears" has passed through both the House and Senate committees, with only a few of our lawmakers standing up for what is right and opposing the bills.

We commend our legislators who voted against the bills because that's what the overwhelming majority of Floridians wanted. They listened to us and based their vote on science, facts, and proven non-lethal solutions that have rectified bear-human conflicts throughout Florida and worldwide.

Both bills are headed to the floor for a final vote before being sent to Governor DeSantis to be signed into law. Judging by the previous votes in favor of the bills, we believe it is best to shift our focus to contacting the Governor and politely asking him to VETO SB 632 - "Taking of Bears" and HB 87 - "Taking of Bears."
