The Trump administration has officially taken down the USAID website, cutting off public access to critical information about U.S. foreign aid programs. This action was carried out without notifying Congress, raising serious concerns about transparency and accountability.

At the same time, 60 senior career officials at USAID have been forced out, leaving key offices leaderless and disrupting the agency’s ability to function. These individuals were placed on administrative leave as part of an effort to silence dissent and remove those who might push back against the administration’s sweeping freeze on U.S. foreign aid.

This is a direct attack on public service, government transparency, and democratic oversight. If they can do this to USAID, what’s next? The ongoing purge of federal employees is escalating, with more agencies at risk of being dismantled from within.

Congress has still not acted. We must demand immediate investigations and accountability before more damage is done.
