Here are estimates of some endangered wildlife populations historically and today:

North American Gray Wolves

Historically: 2 million

Current: 7,500

Grizzly Bear

Historically: 100,000

Current: 1,900

African Elephants

Historically: 10 million

Current: 415,000

African Rhinos

Historically: 500,000

Current: 27,000

African Buffalo

Historically: 3 million

Current: 40,000

Giraffe

Historically: 1 million

Current: 117,000

Lion

Historically: 200,000

Current: 23,000

No doubt these numbers are concerning as some of these population estimates were just 100 years ago.  These endangered species are in massive decline and can become extinct in our lifetime.  Their fate is in our hands so why not ensure their future is viable?  Please sign and share this petition and please call your federal legislators asking to ban trophy hunting of endangered species in the United States and to ban the import of trophies of endangered species into the United States.  The call will take two minutes of your time.  Two important minutes for your federal legislator to know your opinion and understand why this is so important for all wildlife.  You are the change that is needed to ensure a future for endangered species everywhere.
