For 8 months my children and I were under child protection. In the end, they found nothing wrong with me.

During those 8 months:

• I was very worried all the time for my children.

• I spent a lot of money on lawyers to keep my children safe.

• About 30 people from police, school, health and social services came to meetings about me. This made me feel scared and harassed.

• I still have not been given the child protection report about me.

This experience hurt me emotionally and financially. It felt like I was being punished instead of helped.

I am asking for:

• A fair and independent investigation into what happened.

• Clear information for parents – we should be given reports and evidence quickly.

• Respect and protection for families so they are not harassed during investigations.
