After yesterday's post of the commissioner's response to my invitation, I read a lot of opinions.  Some were upset, like me.  Some were outraged and some were understanding of the commissioner. It was those who were understanding that opened up my eyes to a different perspective.  He wants to give us a fair shot and doesn't want to sully our chances.

Today we called the deputy director of Planning and Development.  We shared our concern of how minds were already made up, that it was a hopeless fight for us.  He assured us that it wasn't, he doesn't know why we've been repeatedly told we'll most likely be denied in our petition to rezone.  He offered to have a meeting with us to explain the process and it's fairness.

Our meeting will be Tuesday of next week.

We're trying to be hopeful here as we continue to fight.
