I have been contacted by a lot of farmers out there, all going through or have gone through what I'm experiencing.  What I'm hearing is a lot of won battles.

Here is an excerpt from my Letter of Intent that might help other farmers out there:

Georgia passed amendment HB1150 to the Freedom to Farm Act stating, “It is the declared policy of the state to conserve, protect, and encourage the development and improvement of its agricultural and forest land and facilities.” Agricultural facilities is defined as “any land [...] which is used for the [...] processing of crops, livestock, animals, poultry, honey bees, honeybee products, livestock products, poultry products, [...]. Our farm is such land. We have met the threshold for operating for over a year, as our land has been farmed since 1900 and continued when we took over in 2015. To deny us our rezoning to RA200 could potentially lead Gwinnett County to not be in compliance with state laws.

If you haven't read the Freedom to Farm Act, please do so!  Farmers have rights!
