We are floored by the outpouring of support.  My family is truly grateful for everyone who signed their name in support of our farm or donated to help us cover the rezoning application cost.

Some small updates:

Midnight is being a wonderful mother to two new chicks (as seen in the pic, although one chick is hiding).

We emailed Commissioner Jasper Watkins yesterday ahead of the news release.  We hadn't heard back, so we called his office and spoke to his assistant.  She assured me she would look into my situation tomorrow.

We started filing out our application.  It required some pages to be notarized, so lunch was spent getting that done.  Then, the application requires us to get the Tax Commissioner to sign off that we are current on our property taxes.  Once that last hoop has been jumped over, we are submitting our application for rezoning!

We're hopeful that the number of signatures on this petition will persuade the rezoning board that its citizens want our farm here, contrary to their 2045 Land Development Plan found here: https://www.gwinnettcounty.com/web/gwinnett/departments/planningdevelopment/services/landuseplanning/2045unifiedplan
