Cimarron Canyon ResidentEl Paso, TX, United States

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Wo5fZAFSvRX8hC-h5OTZQZ5NDHOhwJ40/view?usp=drivesdk I’ve reviewed the Alderete MS Traffic Impact Analysis. Key findings: • LOS F at the school’s exit driveway during the AM peak in the opening year (2027) and again in 2032. • Resler & Cimarron Canyon (the neighborhood’s only ingress/egress) degrades to LOS C at opening and LOS E by 2032. • Mitigation depends on future, not-yet-built and not fully funded signals. • Emergency access and single-point-of-failure scenarios are not meaningfully analyzed. • The analysis does not adequately account for the hike/bike and running trail that crosses the Cimarron Canyon entrance, where pedestrians and cyclists already mix with traffic. The district’s own study shows failing conditions at the only neighborhood entrance, with mitigation deferred to the future. We need to escalate this appropriately.
