Last week at the California Fish and Game Commission we addressed the Commission about making the shark protection permanent. Next month the FG&C will hear our appeal as the emergency regulations fishing sharks from California piers and beaches expires.  This regulates certain gear types and does not make fishing illegal or  even fishing for sharks illegal. This is a public safety measure, and a method to protect large sharks and avoid attracting them to our public shorelines.
