Hello community, I wanted to take a moment to thank you all for being here and caring for the land, as well as to update you.

⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️ Bride’s mound land manager just got in touch, and said:

“You can stand down with regards to the top of the mound. We have finished our negotiations with the county council and South West Heritage Trust and there will be a press release with plans to remove the surfacing and old notice board on the top of the mound in a couple of days.  The contractors are bussy with another job but shouldn't be too long.”

I am not sure where this puts us with the rest of the petition, so I think we should still be collecting signatures just in case.

I also wanted to ask of you to please keep your heart open and let it guide you.

These are the two extremes I’m seeing:

1- People who aren’t spiritually connected and focus only on human-centred access, even if it harms the land.

2-People using the situation to promote themselves, riding the momentum and making it about something else, while the land’s energy is being disrupted.

Who’s actually thinking about the land itself?: locals, the “goddesses”, the Druid’s and the people who work with the spirits of the land and energy lines. Who were never asked or properly informed. So I wonder, is this triggering colonization wounds?

There’s so much hate and division going on.. This doesn’t help anyone, including the land.

Please, please, please, try to de-escalate and not emotionally project onto one another, while keeping firm in your truth. Watch out for the extreme views.

You DO NOT need to pick extreme sides.

I know it’s not easy sometimes, but together we can support each other (even if we disagree on views!).

As our very own towncryer proclaimed yesterday at pride:

“in a world that profits from misery, joy is an act of rebellion”.

On another note, if you can get involved in the land meanwhile your support is very much needed and welcome.

We need more people to come and help this Thursday 31st July (10am till 13:30) in removing the invasive “Himalayan balsam” (its choking our wildflowers).

This is a great opportunity to come together and give the land some love, so together we can restore the peace and connect with each other in person.

If you can’t pull them, you’re welcome to still join us in loving spirit, music and support.

Thank you 🙏🏻 💜
