While huge, multi million pound investments are pouring into nearby town centre projects like The Stage and Power Court, we are standing up to say: High Town Road cannot be left behind! 🏗️✨ Our incredible street is the vibrant gateway to Luton, packed with stunning Victorian terraces, traditional shopfronts, and deep links to our proud hat making heritage. 🎩🏭 It has so much untapped potential to become a thriving heritage high street full of independent bakeries, artisan craft shops, florists, and cosy cafés! 🥐☕️💐
But to turn this vision into reality, we need to make sure MP Rachel Hopkins, Councillors James Taylor and Umme Ali, Dr Nina Pearson (the independent Chair appointed to lead the Central Luton Pride in Place Neighbourhood Board), and Luton Borough Council hear us loud and clear! 📣🏛️ With a massive £20 million Pride in Place fund on the table, they have an incredible opportunity to back our street. They have the power to allocate a share of this funding and help us secure national heritage support from organisations like Historic England to restore those gorgeous Victorian façades and level up our paving and lighting. 🌟🛣️
