On September 7, 2017, Molokai Ranch was listed for sale at $260 million by the Singapore-based owner GL limited. The land for sale consists of a little more than one-third of Molokai island. The idea of a new owner comes with both uncertainty and hope. On an island with an existing sense of community and kuleana to our environment, we feel that any prospective buyer would benefit and prosper most greatly through gaining an understanding of our environmental needs, and earning the trust of the people through partnership with our community. We seek to demonstrate our unity as a community by gathering signatures of support from all who agree with the following vision statement:

 “Our Molokai community is united and we stand firm in what we want for Molokai Ranch lands. Collectively our community has invested thousands of hours over many years to develop a common vision for the island's future. Any buyer of Molokai Ranch must embrace our vision, our values, and our ideas for protecting our 'aina, honoring our culture, and creating a healthy economy based on wise use and good stewardship of our natural resources. We will settle for nothing less.”
