Team Coleman family,

Since I launched this petition almost a year ago, on Mother’s Day weekend of 2021, I’ve been covering some pretty heavy topics.

For those of you who have followed our journey and walked with us, faithfully supporting our cause, I’m excited to share some happy news.  After being together since September of 2020 and married for a little over a year, these star-crossed lovers had their very first in-person meeting this past weekend!!  It was my first time meeting my husband in face-to-face, my first prison visit, and my first time in the State of Alabama.  I plan to post a video update to Instagram @JusticeforLeonardColeman tomorrow. :)

We are now just under three months out from Leonard’s evidentiary hearing and I’m looking forward to heading back to Alabama in July to be in attendance.  If you’d like to help us end on the side of victory and exoneration, please continue sharing this petition and featuring our story on your social media platforms.  If you have a news, or magazine outlet, please consider reaching out to me on Instagram, so that, together, we can keep shining a light on this travesty of justice.

Before Leonard and I head into that courtroom in July, Mobile County MUST know that, collectively, we care about wrongful convictions and how they affect our society.  Wrongfully-convicted lives matter.
