I was raised in Florida the large majority of my life and as I consistently read news like this about the State of Alabama, I have to wonder if they are on another planet of their own. Being that research shows we favor people who are similar to us, Alabama’s all-White judicial system essentially makes it criminal to even be Black. It’s no wonder my husband was literally railroaded by a White Judge (Rusty Johnston), White DA (Ashley Rich), and a 11/12 White jury. As we approach Jan 26, the day we finally find out if Leonard will be granted an evidentiary hearing on his new evidence of innocence, please help us gain even more public support by continuing to sign, comment on, and share this petition. If you produce documentaries, or have influence within a news outlet, or publication, this is such a critical time in our case and a perfect time to expose the corrupt system in which Leonard was wrongfully convicted.
