This villainous intention lead to negotiating quid pro quos with the highest levels of the Russian government for de facto control of the highest levels of the United States government by Russia, secretly transmitting illegal donations from the Russian government to the Trump Campaign via the NRA, operating decentralized communications with Russia’s Cyber-Espionage Forces, thereby aiding and abetting the crime of fraud with computers, illegal spying, and theft of legally protected data, and the propagation of fraudulent claims disguised as investigative journalism in order to misinform the voting population. Throughout, Donald Trump (and this quotation comes from the Richard Nixon article of impeachment) “made false or misleading public statements for the purpose of deceiving the people of the United States.” Among other things, Trump repeatedly made untruthful statements about American intelligence agencies’ conclusions regarding Russia’s role in the 2016 election. Donald J. Trump’s corporate organizations, for most of their existences, were substantially and covertly mob-owned and operated. Donald Trump operated his criminal empire for years through a pattern of continuous, related crimes, including mail, wire, and bank fraud, tax evasion, money laundering, conspiracy, bribery, extortion, and embezzlement. Moscow’s use of illegally obtained documents for the purpose of illegal disclosures during the USA’s 2016 presidential election was unprecedented, but its influence campaign otherwise followed a longstanding Russian messaging strategy that blends covert intelligence operations, such as cyber activity, with overt efforts by Russian Government agencies, state funded media, third-party intermediaries, and paid social media users. By their nature, Russian influence campaigns are multifaceted and designed to be deniable because they use a mix of agents of influence, cutouts, front organizations, and false-flag operations.
