I spoke with the new detective on the case moments ago. She is extremely kind and passionate about doing the right thing. She had a desire to investigate, and to help, in my opinion. Unfortunately she was unable to do more, because of the 4 girls that initially reported, the case halted because 3 of them stopped responding to CPD calls or attempts to reach out. The case has been halted largely as a result of communication failures & fizzling out, and one cited fear of retaliation. 

So, if you feel you are a victim of a crime at the hands of this man, I urge you to please file a report. It doesn’t matter if you report it to the closest police department to you, I reported at a police department in wrigleyville, and the alleged crimes happened in the ravenswood area. 

Reporting helps keep others safe, and if we all use our voices together, we can seek justice & stop this cycle of pain. It is utterly discouraging and disheartening to see every few months/years someone, often multiple someone’s, make some sort of assertion that they have been victimized by him. The only power we have as survivors, is the ability to report and corroborate one another. 

This will probably be my last update to you all, unless reports happen, and movement proceeds, the case will likely end up suspended (which means it is pending more information.)
