I was told that a supervisor in case management would be reviewing my case and that will take a few days. I was instructed to call back if I have not heard anything by the end of the week.

I won’t lie I feel like I am being given the run around. I am taking notes of names and badge numbers every time I get transferred to a new sector of area 3 offices.

This morning I was told by case management that the homicide & sex unit needed to review this case because it was older and the gentleman I spoke to was unsure what they could due based on the statute of limitations on sex crimes, which is an alarming statement off the bat because after 2020 they removed statute of limitations on sex crimes in Illinois. But when I reached homicide and sex they immediately told me I needed to be sent back to case management. And that is when I was told a supervisor would review the case.

I will be calling back Friday October 11th if I don’t hear from anyone. It seems as though I am constantly being rushed off the phone as people are passing the buck. I don’t exactly really need the case reviewed so much as I want to offer additional and new information and evidence, but if that is part of the process then of course, that’s fine. But I feel very out of the loop because it seems nobody can take a second to hear me out and give me more than a few sentences of information.

i did find out Sunday October 6th that basically immediately after my initial interview with detective Samantha Nickeas the case was closed or suspended (I believe those are two different thing but the gentleman used them both)

I was informed it was closed, suspended, reopened on the 30th of November, and then suspended again, which I heard that apparently that means it is pending more information. Which is upsetting to hear because if I am not mistaken my interview was in November (I will find this out Friday and correct the record if need be) and that before thoroughly investigating anything, Samantha Nickeas wrote me and the other girls off by moving the case to be suspended. Disappointed but thoroughly not surprised.
