Action needed-Accokeek Furnace Boardwalk, Park at Cannon Ridge

7,500 Park supporters and growing! Thank you everyone that has signed the petition!
Progress is being made towards Cannon Ridge being designated as a Park in the Stafford Comprehensive Plan. Once it's designated as a future Park it will be eligible for State and Federal Grants.
On September 3rd at 3:00 pm, I'm on the agenda for a presentation to the Stafford Historical Commission.
On September 20th at 7:00 pm the Parks and Recreation Commission will have on the agenda a resolution supporting a Park designation for Cannon Ridge.
These meetings are open to the public.
I need your help to make our voices Loud and Clear!
A Parks survey is being done to get feedback of future Park improvements to be included in the Comprehensive Plan. As of now No new Parks are proposed.
We can change that. The Parks survey is simple and easy. Please click the link below to support two new parks.
1. Accokeek Furnace Boardwalk.
2. Historic Events Park at Cannon Ridge.

1. A Historic Events Park, Fairgrounds and the Waterfall Trail at the closed Cannon Ridge Golf Course.
2. Accokeek Furnace Boardwalk and Trail.
Question 16.
The Accokeek Furnace Boardwalk and Trail would go from the Mine Road Extension to the Accokeek Furnace and Mill Site behind Colonial Forge HS.
