Privacy is a Human Right!

Hi Everyone! Thank you to all the people that have signed the petition so far.

Digital ID systems are considered dangerous primarily because they create centralised databases that act as "hacker goldmines," while enabling mass surveillance and potential exclusion from essential services. They pose significant risks to civil liberties, privacy, and personal security, enabling tracking, profiling, and "function creep" where tools used for convenience can be weaponised for control.

Whenever topics surrounding technology, social media and online gaming are brought up in the media, the governments use the classic “think of the children” excuse as a way to put a ban to these kind of uses, when in reality it’s a way for them to gain more control of our freedom and force Digital ID, mass surveillance and bringing online verification to the back door and right down our throats.

When laws like the UK’s Online Safety Act are passed and put in effect, it would prevent young people from accessing support around sexual health, abuse and SA, LGBT advocacy, domestic violence and suicide prevention. It will not reduce bullying or abuse, but it will prevent victims of bullying and abuse accessing support, information and a sense of community.

The best way to stop this insanity is to scrap Digital ID and online surveillance altogether!
