Here is the reply from Propellerhead. --- Dear Sebastian, At the moment we have no plans of changing the End User License Agreement (EULA). I.e. the boring answer to your question is that our official take on this is exactly what we are saying in the agreement: "3.No transfer. You may not transfer, rent, lease, or sublicense the Software." This limitation in the EULA was one of many business decisions taken when building and establishing the Rack Extension marketplace. Our ambition has been to create a distribution channel that suits as many third party manufacturers as possible. Allowing license transfers does not fit well with that ambition, since it is not a given that all companies are interested in offering this. Rewriting the EULA would mean rewriting the distribution agreement for the marketplace. This is a big undertaking that we think cannot be justified. Furthermore, allowing license transfers would result in higher admin costs for the shop, meaning the end user product price could be affected. I understand that there are a lot of different opinions around this issue. However, this is the decision we have come to. Best regards, /Mats --- A setback, but not the end. The petition will stay online, hopefully there are enough votes someday. Thank you all for the support so far, please don't stop to spread the word. Kind regards, Sebastian
