I am speaking up for the children who wake up to the sound of bombs instead of the sound of an alarm clock, for the families who have lost their homes, loved ones, and sense of safety, and for innocent civilians who have been caught in wars they never chose. For years, people in places such as Gaza, Ukraine, Sudan, and other conflict-affected communities have been living through fear, displacement, hunger, and loss.

Just because we are fortunate enough to live far from these conflicts does not mean we should look away. Their pain is still real. Their lives still matter. While we may not be able to stop a war ourselves, we can choose to learn, to understand, to speak up, and to help. As young people, we should not wait until we are adults to care about the world around us. We deserve to understand politics, global conflicts, and human rights so that we can grow into informed citizens who are capable of making responsible decisions and standing with those whose voices are being unheard.
