Engaging Global Leaders & Advancing Peace at the United Nations in New York

Momentum is building for Project Enduring Peace (PEP)! As we push for a new international peace treaty, we’ve been actively engaging global leaders and preparing for a major opportunity to amplify our message.

Here’s what we’ve been up to:

Diplomatic Outreach: We’ve reached out via email to over 100 ambassadors, introducing PEP’s vision and our petition, and we will continue emailing regularly. Repetition will be key to sparking key conversations with them.

3MSP Participation: PEP attended the Third Meeting of States Parties (3MSP) to the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW) at the United Nations during the first week of March. This was a key opportunity to advocate for creating a treaty that can end international warfare, bringing lasting peace as a partner with efforts for nuclear disarmament. PEP team members also highlighted the petition you signed, and also the video that is PEP’s calling card, Ending War is Possible. Here’s Why and How. The video specifically refutes the common belief of the majority of Earth citizens that while ending warfare is desirable, it’s not actually possible. That false belief is a major barrier to efforts to secure a global, enforceable peace agreement. And for that matter, for convincing nuclear-armed nations to disarm.

Strategic Engagement: We joined official sessions and side events, strengthening ties with diplomats, policymakers, and civil society leaders committed to ending armed conflict. We were able to establish contact with a principal supporter of the Treaty to Prohibit Nuclear Weapons to discuss PEP's goals.

📣 Call to Action: More signatures mean a stronger voice to urge global leaders to gather and get to work! Arguably, we’re running out of time to avoid civilization-ending actions or accidents. Share our petition! Help us push for powerful, lasting change on this planet in how nations resolve conflicts.

Stay tuned for more updates as we garner more signatures—thank you for standing with us!
