Before January 2022 the server wage was less than minimum wage:

A lower hourly wage meant less contribution to the Canada Pension Plan, meaning you will receive a lower CPP monthly payment.

If you were a server for most of your adult life in Ontario, you made less per hour, gave a portion of your tips to the kitchen, and you will receive less CPP monthly payments when you retire.  

Is that fair?
