I wrote an email to the news source involved in my petition requesting for them to remove the offending story that has sparked the writing of this petition from the beginning, and in response back to me they decided to mock me and correct my grammar in an attempt to offend me. This means that the Georgia Gazette shows absolutely no remorse for their stories. I responded back to them and informed them of this petition. Sadly, their last response back to me was "you go girl 😂🤣😂" and yes, the smiley faces were included. 

I'm in shock at how little concern The Georgia Gazette has for other people's feelings, and I am outraged at the lack of compassion, decency, and professionalism they have shown. I am currently in the process of forwarding this petition to local U.S State Senate Representatives to see if they will consider putting a stop to invasive journalism. I will also request that a law be passed that will require consent from both parties allowing stories on them before publishing takes place if it is to be published before a person is convicted of any crime or while an investigation is still active, especially if any pictures of an individual person is involved. 

Please continue to share the petition. You do not need to donate money. Change.org asks you to, but you are not required to. Sharing this petition is the only way to gain momentum and put an end to invasive journalism. You never know, one day you might be the one going to jail for a misunderstanding and get out to see your name all over social media, or you might become a victim of a crime and have to read about it on social media too. This is simply not ok. The more this gets shared the better the chances are of making sure this is more regulated and our privacy protected. Privacy is a right, not a privilege.
