We the undersigned - staff at universities and members of the USS pension scheme - have no confidence in Dame Glynis Breakwell as a UUK USS trustee. None of us earn half a million pounds a year and we do not sit in remuneration committees which award ourselves £15,000 pay increases. Our pay has fallen by 15 percent in real terms in the last decade and now USS want to pull the pensions rug from underneath our feet. Dame Breakwell has announced her intention to resign as Vice Chancellor of Bath University. We also call for Dame Breakwell’s resignation as a USS Trustee.
