We, the below listed students of UNISA, an institution of higher learning, would like formally to put forward our grievance on the lack of transparency, mistreatment, disregard for our mental wellbeing and the general impact and infringement on our human rights in their decision (or lack thereof) regarding certificates.  Students are unable to get requisite registrations with Industry bodies or apply for work locally in a job market ravaged by Covid-19 and unemployment,  or to source employment abroad!

• Students forfeited graduations with not so much as names appearing on a power-point in an online ceremony! As such, money was surely saved.
• The communication around allowing students to collect certificates and then reneging on this, without an alternative, hiding behind Covid-19, is disingenuous!
• We have paid the university for 3 / 4 years to get our degrees. The fact that we were online for most exams in the latter part of last year and this year, is a clear indication that you once again saved money.  
• We DEMAND that the university re-evaluates their decision and releases our certificates via COURIER services as a matter of urgency!  You have used these services in the past!
• UNISA - DO THE RIGHT THING - RELEASE OUR CERTIFICATES!!!!!
