Sign NRDC’s petition to P&G demanding that they stop cutting down a million acres/year of ancient forest known as the “lungs of the northwestern hemisphere.”

“Right now, no P&G tissue brand includes any recycled content. Their reliance on virgin forest pulp is terrible for some of the world’s most important forests, like the Canadian boreal, and is estimated to generate 17.8 million metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions each year, or the rough equivalent of 3.8 million cars.

If P&G increased the recycled content in Charmin and its other brands by even 50%, the company could lower its annual emissions by 6.2 million metric tons. It would also do a great deal to ensure important forests like the Canadian boreal remain intact.” From nrdc.org
