Hey everyone, this is Annette writing. First of all, thank you for all your support thus far. There have been several recent developments: 1) First and foremost, John Sentamu, the Archbishop of York and Lord Spiritual, famous for cutting up his collar upon hearing of Mugabe's abuses, and putting it back when Mugabe resigned, is offering to intercede with the Home Office on my behalf. The news came as a wonderful surprise to me, and for the first time this whole month, it finally began to feel like Christmas for me. 2) Today, we rang the Home Office's Further Submissions Unit and booked an appointment in which we are to hand in the further evidence that we have gathered in support of our relationship together. Seán has managed to pull together reams of information in two weeks, and yesterday night was a race against the clock to make sure it was all above board. 3) One of the earliest supporters of our petition and one of our closest friends, Christopher Tracey, has recorded a video about how he knows me, and how we got this far.
