Tell her husband to stop censoring photos of breastfeeding

The Issue

Breastfeeding is normal and Facebook considers breastfeeding photos to be nudity. While we respect the rights of people to not look at the photos, we recognize our rights to do what is natural, which includes breastfeeding.

More people need to see breastfeeding as normal to ensure that women and children are not discriminated against and also so more women will feel comfortable with breastfeeding.

If we were not censored from showing photos of something normal, fewer women and men would consider breastfeeding to be obscene or even just be "uncomfortable" regarding the topic. Awareness is key and Priscilla Chan just graduated from medical school and plans to do her rounds in Pediatrics. If her husband doesn't support breastfeeding, she should consider being open on the topic, its importance so he can change his mind on the censoring issue. It really does take awareness for people to come around. Why not start on the world's largest social networking platform?

The AAP says a child should be exclusively breastfed for 6 months and breastfed for AT LEAST 12 months. No upper limit is given by the AAP or the World Health Organization.
