Interns falsely accused of "escaping duty" and being "money-minded"

In recent developments since a peaceful protest was staged by the current batch of interns of CMC Ludhiana, the young doctors are now being targeted for being "money minded" and looking for an excuse to "escape duty".

The entire nation is build on the fundamentals of democracy where the citizens have a right to demand what's deserved. By going on a peaceful strike in an attempt to gather public support, the idea conveyed is actually quite the opposite of what we are being targeted for.

If we had to escape duty, we just would've. We didnt have the need to toil under the burning sun to raise our voices. Like the entire country we could've sat in our homes and taken care of our families. But we didnt. It is by the virtue of our demands that we want to send a message - we WANT to work. But we do need to be provided with what's just. 

If we were running after money, we couldve worked a thousand different jobs online/remotely, given the enormous amount of talent we have (perks of being a student of Chritian Musical College), and earned significantly more than what we are being paid right now. But we choose to work and ask for what is rightly deserved for the work we do.
