It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the devastating news of Hannah Deacon's passing. Hannah, whose incredible strength and unwavering spirit inspired so many through her fight for access to medical cannabis, left us far too soon on the 6th May after a short, but brutal illness.

Hannah was remarkable: determined, tenacious, and fiercely compassionate. Her fight to find treatment for her son Alfie’s rare and severe epilepsy led to a breakthrough that changed his life and ultimately changed the law. When it became clear the change in law wouldn’t open access to the many other thousands of children like Alfie, Hannah carried on the campaign and formed this petition which now has over 700,000 signatures.

While we mourn her loss deeply, we are committed to honouring Hannah's work. Her family, alongside the Medcan Family Foundation a charity Hannah co-founded, will continue to champion the cause she believed in so passionately. They will carry on her fight to ensure that all children who need it can access this life-changing medication.

We know many of you have been with Hannah every step of the way. We ask that you please continue to show your incredible support for her family and the Medcan Family Foundation as they carry on this vital work. Your continued advocacy will help keep Hannah's dream alive.

Thank you for everything, Hannah.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be posting regularly with how you can further help and support Hannah’s campaign.

Please share this petition across your social media and ask 5 friends or family to sign and help us reach 1 million signatures.
