If you missed our update please read:

Dozens of families with children affected by severe epilepsy are still being denied NHS prescriptions for the medical cannabis that keeps their children well.

My son Alfie is one of only 3 children fortunate enough to have an NHS prescription.

Three years on from him being granted the first long term licence to use medical cannabis, these other families are having to pay thousands of pounds a month to get the medicine privately.

Please would you help me by using this link https://endourpain.org/find-my-mp/ to email your MP?

We need MPs to urge the Prime Minister to intervene, and I have written to him asking him to meet with me urgently to solve this terrible situation, please write to him too so he knows this issue is also important to you.

I know from my personal experience that caring for a child with complex epilepsy is hard enough.  Having to raise thousands of pounds a month to pay for the only medicine that really helps them is intolerable, particularly when most fund-raising opportunities have been drastically limited by COVID restrictions.

Even if you’ve helped me before, please do so again.  These families are under terrible financial and emotional pressure.

On Wednesday 16th June the brother of one affected child whose parents are having to fundraise will make a personal plea to the Prime Minister outside Downing Street and I will join them in solidarity.

Please support him and me by using the https://endourpain.org/find-my-mp/

Thank you so much for your continued support. Please also share this link with your family and friends and ask them to sign our petition and also send an email to their MP.

With love,

Hannah and Alfie xx
