The End Our Pain families met with the Secretary of State for Health Matt Hancock in March 2019 where he said he would help the families.
He commissioned an NHS England review that day to urgently look at why the families were to being forced to pay for private prescriptions and their NHS Doctors were being blocked from prescribing. The reviews conclusions came out at the end of July where the NHS review team stating an urgent trial should begin and product importation should be looked at along with some other recommendations. To date Matt Hancock is yet to respond to this review and the End Our Pain families remain paying up to £6,000 a month for life saving medication which is currently being imported from Holland.
We thought when the law changed that many thousands of patients would be able to access this life saving medicine however it seems now all the Government are doing is blocking the families access to medicine which they’ve proved helps their children. Alfie is one of two lucky children who has access to cannabis medicine on the NHS but that is it!
Please help me to help the families and the many other thousands of patients in the UK that need legal access to cannabis medicine, by signing and sharing my petition.
It is so important that the public know that cannabis medicine is not available to most and we must rectify this together.
